Job Responsibilities of a Draftsman:

  1. Create detailed technical drawings: Produce precise, scale drawings of buildings, machines, or other structures using ArchiCAD software tools.

  2. Interpret design concepts: Convert rough sketches, specifications, and calculations from engineers and architects into complete, accurate drawings.

  3. Revise and update drawings: Change existing drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or clients.

  4. Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures: Include detailed information on drawings to guide manufacturing or construction processes.

  5. Collaborate with design teams: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure drawings meet project requirements.

  6. Maintain drawing files and records: Organize and manage digital and physical drawing archives.

  7. Perform calculations: Determine dimensions, quantities of materials, and other technical specifications as needed.

  8. Ensure compliance: Make sure drawings adhere to industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
